From Principal's Desk
Kolkata is the privileged city that has rendered helping hands to all the great Noble Laureates of our Country: Rabindranath Tagore, Ronald Ross, Sir C.V, Raman, Mother Teresa and Amartya Sen. So, indeed, we are the rich heir of knowledge process. We need to inculcate not only the knowledge domain but also something beyond.
To attain harmony in multiplicity is the great challenging task in order to make an effective contribution to the society at large. Then only, the various knowledge domains can be cross-fertilised to produce yet another neo-knowledge base.
The family in which we do live and work here in this institute are poised to accomplish this task with commitment and dedication. We shall overcome all the riddles and accomplish all the tasks to establish and operate in a higher stratum. In this crucial point of take off, let us quote the zealous yearning: -
Where the mind is without fear and head is held high; Where the knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into the fragments of narrow domestic walls; Where the words come out from the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches its arms into perfection; Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert of sand of dead habits. Where the mind is led forward by Thee into the ever-widening thought and action; Into that Heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake
—Rabindranath Tagore.
